Israeli fast fashion exec buys a 57th floor apartment in 432 Park

Joey Schwebel, the chairman of the Israeli retail franchise group, Trimera Brands, was the buyer of a 57th floor apartment at 432 Park Avenue for $13.7 million, according to city documents. Schwebel purchased the apartment under the LLC, JE Manhattan.

Trimera Brands is the largest retail franchise group in Israel, and owns Zara, Nike, Gap and Massimo Dutti chains.

432 Park Avenue has attracted a number of big names (and big purchases). In addition to Schwebel, Douglas Elliman chief Howard Lorber, Vector Group chairman Bennett LeBow, developer Harry Macklowe, Qatari diplomat Nassi Abdulaziz Al-Nasser and Jacob “The Jeweler” Arabov have all purchased apartments in the building. An unnamed buyer purchased a penthouse apartment in the building for $76.5 million, and Saudi retail magnate Fawaz Al Hokair is reportedly paying $95 million for the top floor apartment (though that deal has not yet closed).

The most expensive closed deal in the building happened last week when a buyer paid $59 million for a full-floor unit.

The Macklowe Group declined to comment.
